Saf-T-Oil is a very unique product. There is no insecticidal oil for use on citrus that compares in either its physical attributes or its performance.

Oil Quality
Saf-T-Oil comes from the highest quality oils available. It is a high paraffinic, low
aromatic oil. The quality not only meets and exceeds Florida standards such as Florida FC-435-66, but also requirements for California NR440, Australia’s standard C-23NR and Japan’s Summer Oil 98% type 70.

Manufacturing Process
This terminology in itself is a major difference between Saf-T-Oil and other citrus oils. Saf-T-Oil is actually process manufactured under very stringent protocols requiring highly specialized equipment. This is in contrast to loading a semi-trailer with 5,000 gallons of oil, dumping a 55-gallon drum of an emulsifier in the top and delivering it to the grove. Unfortunately, this is how most citrus oils are put together.

Emulsifiers
The emulsifying process is probably the most integral part of manufacturing Saf-T-Oil, for without proper emulsification Saf-T-Oil would become just another oil. Whereas, most citrus oils have just 1 emulsifier dumped in, the Saf-T-Oil formula requires multiple emulsifiers. These emulsifiers are very specific in the job they perform which all lend themselves to the uniqueness of the product.

Mode of Action
Saf-T-Oil’s mode of action is through suffocation of eggs, larvae and nymphs of insects and adults of soft bodied insects. This mode of action necessitates total spray coverage.

Effective Pest Control
Saf-T-Oil controls a wide range of mite and insect pests in the egg stage such as: spider and eriophyid mites, armored and soft scales, mealy bugs, psyllids, whiteflies, aphids, leafrollers, leaftiers, webworms, cankerworms, plant bugs, leafhoppers, and adelgids.
